Isla Canela Golf Course

Isla Canela Golf course is situated within a Nature Reserve where the river Guadiana empties into the Atlantic Ocean . Its beautiful location and the mild climate of the region with an average temperature of 20ºC make it an ideal destination for golfing all year round.
The course, designed by Juan Catarineu, is successfully integrated into existing flat terrain and is very comfortable to walk. Wide fairways run between natural dunes and many trees – oranges, olives, eucalyptuses and palms- have been introduced not only to enhance the location but, by their position, to provide natural hazards. At first sight it looks like an easy golf course, but it has its hidden difficulties!

Isla Canela Golf Course is located on the outskirts of Ayamonte town and the best way to get to the course is to follow the directions for Ayamonte town from the A-22 motorway and as you enter the town look for the signs which direct you to Isla Canela Beach. Follow these signs and once you pass the football stadium and the roundabout with the sails in Barriada de Canela you will see a green on the next roundabout and take the exit to your left.
